The beach was half sand and half grass. It was unkempt and unwelcome in a bronzer’s world. Somehow though, I took it as a paradise. A place that needed me and called to me in the same moment. So I sat, undisturbed for months on end. A year passed and all that could be noticed was the wind and the winding blades of grass that often brushed on my fingertips. It was a haven from my stressful existence and often a need like my mid-morning snack or nighttime cup of tea. So I sat.
