The thief snatched

Swift and sudden

The cop saw him

Cool and nothing

The gem was taken

All was seen

The cop had back up

The thief a team

They both were winning

They both had hope

But then on came the chopper

And then on came the smoke

The van had been smashed

The cops had won

The gem was forgotten

The thieves stunned

What had they missed

How did they lose

The perfect plan

Somehow had a fuse

The cops were laughing

The thieves were not

They were all left with the saying
